I personally love this place and think that do an excellent job. Yes, they are not the best bagels in the world but they are pretty damn good. They are clean and very nice people and I always get a smile from them. It's a little cramped because its a strip mall but other than that I enjoy eating here all the time.

Stopped by this morning on the suggestion of a few local people, having just moved here from Florida, looking for a better bagel experience than the Einstein's outside my office complex. Walked in asked for a Nova on Pumpernickel, expecting sliced lox on a pumpernickel bagel toasted with cream cheese. I did not get this, apparently there's a menu item called the Nova ova (or something of the like) where an "egg" is put on the bagel/cream cheese, toasted then the lox are added on top. I didn't dislike this new culinary experience, but it wasn't what I was expecting. It was delicious, I'll be honest. Now I'm just questioning my entire life's choice to not have egg with nova lox on a bagel. Tl;dr- don't want egg on your lox/bagel? order sliced lox on bagel, not "nova on bagel:

As far as the food goes this location is on par with most any other Brueggers. There are, however, two areas that drive me not to visit this location. 1. Wait time at the register - you have your bagel and are ready to go but the person at the register is busy whipping up eggs, or dealing with a coffee to go order or any number of other things. The wait time should not be measured in minutes after you have your food to be able to pay. 2. This item is out of control of the store but is worth noting based on my history here. Parents with young children with colds. I don't understand why this location in the middle of a shopping complex draws in so many people with young kids (often still in their jammies) on the weekends. After standing in the order line behind a parent with their kid in arms coughing, hacking and dripping I have caught some really nasty colds and I wholly blame the parents who take their sick kids to this location. Your kid is sick - don't drag them out to a place that serves food. As an alternative I have not had similar experiences at the Brueggers location on Excelsior Blvd.

Music is WAAY too loud in this Bruegger's. I have never seen anything like this. Normally, I love Bruegger's food, but I will NOT be coming back to this location. I cannot conduct business on my laptop and listen to a conference call (on FULL VOLUME) and be able to hear people on my phone. Music in the Bruegger's restaurant, is WAAY too loud. It is actually LOUDER than the people in here attempting to have conversations with one another. Think I will go someplace else next time. WAAY too disruptive. TURN THE MUSIC DOWN!!! I am here for the Food and as a place to remotely do work. NOT to have my hearing impaired. TOTAL DISTRACTION.

We had fantastic breakfast bagel sandwiches. They can tweak any of their sandwiches or make any special ones you want.

Not recommended for coffee and computer work. The coffee and bagel were okay. I wanted a dessert bar, they were $2.39 for a tiny square, much smaller than I would have expected for the price so I passed. There were 3 flies buzzing around...gross. The 90s music was ridiculously amped up, so loud in fact it was loud even with my earplugs AND my podcasts going. The internet was painfully slow. They share an opening to the Caribou next door and I tried both WIFis both sucked during the lunch rush hour and continued to lag even after the crowd left. Plus side: Friendly staff Several outlets Tons of seating (including some booths)

Love to swing by here for lunch and buy my fav bagel sandwich-the Herby Turkey! I sub onions for green peppers to add a bit more crunch, I usually get it on a whole wheat bagel or tomato bagel thin. The tomato spread is perfectly sweet n spicy and the herb cream cheese completes the otherwise common turkey sandwich. I can never sneak out past the check out without buying a smores bar, they are the best!

Really good. Definitely a fan of the Santa Fe breakfast bagel and the guy recommended the best bagel to put it on, the Rosemary Olive Oil. He was really quick and had a smile on the entire time. :)

i know we are in minneapolis and not nyc so i wont bitch about not getting the perfect bagel. i get it. what i dont get is how anyone still makes a bagel with the topping on only one side. my salt bagel had no salt on the bottom and way too much salt on top. so one must make the important decision of eating the bland side first or the tasty topping side first. i usually eat the crappy one first as im hungrier when i start eating and dont care as much and then savor the side with the topping. its just a decision i would prefer not to have to make. also, dont ask if i want my bagel toasted when you put it in that heating machine that i have never seen actually toast a bagel. maybe ask if i want a slightly warm bagel. one more thing. if you are going to serve me a scalding, hot as hell coffee, dont put the sleevy things ten feet away, have them at the counter when you serve me the coffee so i dont have to burn my hand to get to where you put the sleeves.

so i've always been a fan of brueger's but this time and location was meh. i don't remember the bagels being that bad. i mean einstein's makes a better bagel now. the worst part of the experience was the guy taking my order. i had to tell him twice that i wanted both bagels toasted - as if it was a huge inconvience to him. i was the only person in line - so seriously take it easy AND shouldn't all bagels come toasted anyhow? i'm not sure where to get an excellent bagel in mpls, but if you're in chicago - go to chicago bagel and bialy.
